It's been 9 days now since we started our Bean Growing Experiment and we are ready with some results!
The lentils started sprouting at day 3! Those were the last ones he thought would sprout because they were the smallest, so he got a kick out of it. The Black Eyed Peas sprouted on Day 8 and the Pinto Beans on Day 9! We check them every morning, so the results are based off the morning assessment :)
Here's the photos from today!

I use to love doing this with my kids so they could watch the full growth of seeds to plants. Great learning lesson!
ReplyDeletegreat experiment. I should try this with my kids. My son planted apple seeds and they grew in a house plant pot.
ReplyDeleteI should do this with the 2 yr old. She is crazy smart and I bet she would love doing it!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot about starting seeds this way. We just planted a garden and some of my seedlings did not do so well. I will try it this way.
ReplyDeleteHow neat! I remember doing this in school as a child, and totally forgot about it! What a great way to start seeds for gardening! Thanks for the reminder! LOL!
